Licensing and background checks
What is a CRJMC, and why does it matter
A Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check is a level 2 police background check used by Ontario regulators and employers. For security guard licensing, a current CRJMC is part of the Ministry of the Solicitor General's application package. For real estate, RECO requires a current CRJMC at initial registration and may need it on renewals based on your history. Make sure your CRJMC is recent. Most regulators accept a document issued within the last six months and in original digital format when applying online. Always follow the specific instructions from the regulator or employer when they invite you to submit your check. If you're in a rush or don't want to visit a police station, get your criminal check online at crjmc.net
